چکیده
Atherosclerosis is a complex disease whose pathogenesis includes endothelial activation, accumulation of lipids in the subendothelium, formation foam cells, fat bands and atherosclerotic plaque. These mechanisms involve different cell populations intimate sub-endothelium, S-100 protein family plays role number extracellular intracellular processes during development lesions. The aim this study was to determine phenotypic characteristics smooth muscle cells consequent expression S100 altered coronary arteries advanced stages atherosclerosis. 19 samples right fibro atheroma (type V lesion) complicated lesions VI have been analyzed. According standard protocol, following primary antibodies used immunohistochemical analysis: a-smooth actin (α-SMA), vimentin protein. All analyzed atherosclerosis, (stage lesions) lesions). Most them had structure lesion with or as basis, subsequently by disruption (subtype a), hemorrhage b) thrombosis c), well presence several complications on same sample. Marked hypocellularity present subendothelium plaques. Cell population at plaque margins characterized immunoreactivity α-SMA, vimentin, Some these accumulate look like cells. In plaques, synthetic phenotype are present, some which demonstrate immunoreactivity. Summarizing numerous literature data our results, we could assume that due their proliferative activity earlier pathogenesis, protein, atherosclerosis which, study, result origin

15 صفحه اولA study of iron status in patients with coronary atherosclerosis
Background: It has been demonstrated that free oxygen radicals have a close interaction with lipid peroxidation, causing a modification of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and facilitating LDL deposition, with the consequent formation of atherosclerosis plaques. Free radical production is catalyzed and accelerated in the presence of iron. This study was conducted to evaluate the possible associ...
متن کاملLOX-1 protein, A Biomarker in the Prognosis of Atherosclerosis
LOX-1 is a class E scavenger receptor that mediates the uptake of oxLDL by vascular cells. LOX-1 is involved in endothelial dysfunctions, monocyte adhesion, the proliferation, migration, and apoptosis of smooth muscle cells, foam cell formation, platelet activation, as well as plaque instability; all of these events are critical in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. These LOX-1-dependent bio...

This study investigated if free T4 and TSH concentrations or thyroid function categories were associated with prevalent CHD and the severity of coronary atherosclerosis in a population undergoing coronary angiography. This was a cross-sectional study including 1799 patients who were consecutively admitted and underwent coronary angiography. We evaluated the severity of coronary atherosclerosis ...
